Can you believe this tiny boy is FIVE today?
Jack loves music and riding his bike, playing with Legos and drawing pirate ships. He learned to read really well this year and finished his first chapter book last week (one of those I Can Read books)! He can add and subtract and do lots of pushups. He is very brave about killing bugs, but is sort of afraid of Romulus and Remus’s wolf mother. When he grows up he wants to be a sea diver and a father and a cellist.
Still the most affectionate of our kids, Jack gives great “hugs and snugs.” Recently he asked me for a big hug so I picked him up. ”Mama,” he asked me, “Will you still give me big huge hugs when I’m an old man, like 16 years old or 99?”
And of course I told him I absolutely would. Because who would not want to hug this squinchable buddy? This Jack-a-boycious, this Buddy Bojangles, this Bud Booleroo?
Happy birthday, Jack! We love you!
