Major Pettigrew’s Last Stand

It took me several false starts to really get into Major Pettigrew’s Last Stand, but once I got going with it at the beach last week, I enjoyed it for the most part.

I think the author did a nice job of using a male, British voice, and because I am partial to British idioms and turns of phrase I quite liked the style.  I thought the ending was pretty predictable, and a few of the scenes were overwrought or too much, but overall I found it a pretty good story.
