I can’t hack it as a pioneer

I’m sorry for lack of updates – I have lots to post about Jack’s sea turtle birthday and the usual musings on minutiae, but our air conditioning went out on Saturday afternoon and I have not been able to psych myself into turning on the computer.  It’s been over 90 degrees in our playroom/computer room!  It’s tough to deal with, nobody is sleeping, and we are all, as Jack says, a little “dis-gwon-toed” (disgruntled) around here.  They are supposedly coming to fix the problem on Wednesday morning, and in the meantime I’m focusing on keeping everybody alive and hydrated.

As you know, I entertain delusions about being all Little House on the Prairie and whatnot, but the reality is, I could never hack the program if the program involved no air conditioning.  At least not since our little house on what used to be the prairie was not designed for natural airflow!
