Thanks so much for all of your wonderful ideas of fun and inexpensive date nights! If you haven’t yet, you might enjoy reading all the comments on The Marriage Project giveaway post to get some great ideas.
Thanks to the random number generator at Random.org, our winner was comment number 39 (excluding the author’s comment since she probably already owns the book, although it’s very cool when an author comments on a book review!) – Kelly Wood!
Kelly’s date ideas were really fun:
It’s hard to get a date when your husband is an intern and on call every 3 or 4 nights!
Without babysitting……I just got a ‘new’ bike, with a front-mounted kid seat for Lucy Bea. We enjoy going as a family, and John and I still get time to talk since we’re not following Lucy all over the place.
If we do have babysitting…..the hotel down the street has a live latin band in their lobby every Friday and Saturday night. No cover charge, you don’t even have to buy a drink (if you don’t want to)….just free dancing in a beautiful venue!
Now I just need to convince my husband to take me out to a live band for dancing because that sounds like fun! Kelly, if you email me your address, your book will be on its way.
If you didn’t win the giveaway, consider getting your own copy or checking your library – I think this sort of project would be fun and beneficial for any marriage.
Disclosure (again): Kathi Lipp and Harvest House sent me a review copy of The Marriage Project and will send a copy of the book to the giveaway winner, but the opinions expressed in this review are my own.
