Easter

We had a great Easter service and brunch at our church, and then after naps we went over to my in-laws’ house for an egg hunt and Easter dinner.  Please excuse the post-naptime hair the kids are sporting.

During the service Hannah leaned over and remarked to me, “Mama!  I just love Easter!”

At the beginning of the week, Jack was somewhat confused as to the meaning of Easter, but by Sunday he seemed to have it down that we celebrate Easter because Jesus died on the cross to save us from our sins (“bad choices” as Jack says) and rose again on the third day.

Sarah is a huge fan of egg hunts.  At our church’s egg hunt Saturday I think she thought we were cleaning up all the eggs lying around and she was a good helper by picking up all the eggs she could see.

She loves to play with the plastic eggs.  When she can’t get an egg together or undone, she brings it to us and asks, “Howp?”  I think that means “help” but it could also mean “how in the world do you work this thing?”

I hope you all had a wonderful Easter too!  He is risen indeed!

  1. The children look darling in their finery, nap hair and all! That color is great on all three of them! What a talented mother you are!
