Above are pictures of the kids from this morning. Sarah has been refusing to smile for the camera lately. What’s up with that? She’s all smiles until I get the camera pointed in her direction, and then she turns solemn. I hope she gets over it soon.
Does anyone have any tips for getting young toddlers to smile for the camera? My other kids seemed happy to smile when I said “Cheese” but Sarah is unimpressed by my attempts.
Don’t forget to enter this week’s contest! To win free advertising space on A Spirited Mind all you need to do is send me an email by Friday morning with “Contest” in the subject line, giving me a link to your website, 2-3 sentences explaining why your blog/Etsy Store/e-book/product/website would appeal to A Spirited Mind readers, and a 125 pixels by 125 pixels sized button (like the ones you see in the sidebar now for Amazon and Swagbucks) for your site. There will be three winners, so your odds are pretty good!

Hi, I'm Catherine Gillespie and A Spirited Mind is where I post about reading, writing, and parenting and the lessons I'm learning as a result. Thanks for stopping by!

M&M’s always work for my girls…though Sarah might be a touch young to enjoy M&M’s.
Wow, I hadn’t noticed how much Sarah looks like Hannah! Love the pictures!
Hmmm. . . maybe sing a song she likes or mention something she finds funny? A toy she likes held up by the camera?
I don’t know. Children are tricky little things with minds of their own. . .
