Shred Update

It’s been about four months since I started doing the 30 Day Shred, so I thought I should give y’all an update and Aftermath Report. In addition to the Shred, I’ve also been doing Jillian’s DVDs Banish Fat, Boost Metabolism and No More Trouble Zones, which are like expanded versions of the Shred workouts. I haven’t done them every day, and in fact I’ve taken weeks off at a time for traveling, sickness, inability to get up at 5am, or whatever.

Still, I’ve lost about 18 pounds since I began the program, and that’s pretty good. Granted, I’m still nursing and with my past babies I’ve lost similar amounts of weight between 6 and 9 months post-partum, but this time I’m a little under where I was before, am smaller in inches than I have been before, and definitely have more muscle tone, especially in my arms and obliques.

I like that these three workouts are intense and make me feel strong. I like that they aren’t too bee-boppy so you don’t get bored of the music and I like that you can switch them up so your muscles don’t get used to the routine. I think the best thing is that with any of the Shred workouts or with the other two, you can put together a short but intense workout that doesn’t eat up all of your time but is still effective.

I think the three DVDs were a very worthwhile purchase (well, I used Swagbucks not real money, but they would have been worth real money too). If any of you tried them out, what did you think?
