We have a profusion of yellow lilies going great guns in the backyard just now. The children have a hard time resisting the temptation to break off the buds and stalks, so I’ve been cutting the lilies in hopes of enjoying them. Above is our dining table centerpiece.
Here is what I’ve done with our mantel. My apologies for the weird lighting. I love how yellow lilies look with this green and yellow china.
This lavish bouquet sits on top of our piano, where it is kept company by a tureen. There should be a third object in there because odd numbers of things look better than even numbers of things, but I haven’t thought of anything yet.

It looks as though our potato project was a bust, but the green beans are coming in nicely and we have had some luck with salad greens this year. Do you have anything exciting blooming in your garden these days?
