A tip and a dilemma

Here is my tip: you can seal ribbon with a lighter rather than using Fray Check! I just learned that you can keep a ribbon from fraying by lightly running the end through a lighter flame; the flame makes the end of the ribbon kind of melt in an unobtrusive way. Sometimes Fray Check is a little obvious looking, and I make Hannah’s hairbows, so I’m glad for the lighter option.

Here is my dilemma: I have white linoleum in my kitchen. That is a dilemma in and of itself, but the real problem is that mopping the floor is not getting it clean. The floor seems to have a film on it and it attracts dirt like nobody’s business. Do I need to strip the floor? Have I already asked this question on my blog?

Between the impossible-to-keep-clean linoleum and the impossibly dirty beige carpet, I am sorely tempted to pull up all the flooring in our house and live with the cement and plywood alternative! I think I’m going to email the Nester to see what her solutions might be…
