Yesterday we went strawberry picking with some friends at a nearby farm. It was great fun!
The children ate more than they put in their buckets. I was reminded of one of our favorite books, Blueberries for Sal, except fortunately no baby bears ate the berries out of my bucket!
The kids got good and filthy in the mud and strawberry juice. Jack pulled a slip-n-slide move into a mud puddle and had to go shirtless for the rest of the day.
We got a real bargain on the berries, especially considering how many the children ate in the field and snuck out of the buckets while we ate lunch!
Sarah just kicked back all day and was very well behaved. Look at that adorable face, don’t you just want to eat her with a spoon?
Here are all the kids relaxing on the front porch of the farm shop. From left to right: Jefferson, Evelyn, Baby Jack, Our Jack, Sarah, Hannah, and James
What a fun day! Thank you Dovey and kids for hanging out with us!
