What’s Up Now, Nature?

It’s been two weeks since I almost cut my hand off, and I’m pleased to report that the wounds are very nearly healed. My tree pruning endeavor yielded a veritable plethora of interesting branches, which I brought inside to force into blooming so that the trees would know who was boss. I still haven’t decided what to do to show the saw who is boss, because I kind of feel like the saw is pretty much the boss of me at this point. Anyway, the branches bloomed and so we have been enjoying some springtime even as we watch the snow fall outside our windows.
My mother-in-law gave us these pretty lilies that have also been brightening our home and smelling lovely.

I had plans to bring in some of the daffodils from my back flowerbeds, but then the aforementioned snow hit and the ones that had already bloomed got broken down and beaten up.

Is anything blooming in your gardens yet?
