Today’s Dilemma: Getting Crayon Out of Carpet

What ISN’T working for me this Wednesday is the gorgeous mural the kids drew with Crayons all over the carpet in the playroom. I tried to take a picture of it for y’all, but photography simply didn’t do it justice. I tell you what, it is ASTOUNDING the levels of aesthetic grandeur that these two budding artists can produce in a very short period of time while Mama is answering the telephone.

Does anyone have any home remedies for removing crayon from carpet, other than calling in the professionals? I’m not above calling in professionals, but if there is some simple thing I could do with things found ’round the home, that would be preferable. I know some MacGyver out there has removed crayon from carpet fiber with a combination of peanut butter, human hair, and duct tape or something like that, right?
