And now, because I don’t feel like blogging on serious topics, I will share with you a fun summer camp trick I never had the guts to actually try, but I’m pretty sure it works.
This week grapes are on sale for 88 cents a pound at Meijer so naturally I got a ton of them, and that made me think of this trick: did you know that if you peel a grape it feels a lot like you might think an eyeball would feel? Think about it.
The general idea of the camp trick is that you’re to start talking to a sleeping person about eyeballs, and presumably whilst they slumber they will be open to suggestion and will come to understand that you are about to put eyeballs in their hands. That is when you put peeled grapes in their hand and wake them up! Bwah hah hah hah!
Upon further reflection, I think the trick would really only work on people under the age of, say, 10 years old. That’s probably why I learned that trick at summer camp. Along with great ones about making “snakes” in people’s beds out of shampoo, short-sheeting, and things like that.
Since we’re all adults here, I’m going to go eat some of my on-sale grapes and read a book. Peeling grapes is not as simple as it sounds, anyway.
