Remember when I was all jazzed about growing my own garlic? Yeah, I used the green tops a LOT in cooking for many weeks, so I guess the whole endeavor was not a total flop, but when I recently dug up the garlic, hoping to find small heads of new garlic, instead I found wizened decayed cloves of garlic that had rotted away. Yuck.
It’s not that garlic is so expensive that I can’t afford it, on the contrary it’s a fairly cheap staple, but there was something appealing to me about being able to grow my own garlic. Oh well. I’ll move on to other projects now!
