Toddler Movies

In a few weeks the kids and I are going on our annual beach trip/tour of relatives with my parents. To ease the journey, my dad got a DVD system for their car.

Now I’m trying to think of what DVDs I could get from the library that would be appropriate for little kids (Hannah is two and a half, Jack is one). The only movie we have at home that Hannah watches is the original Disney Winnie the Pooh movie from the 1960s. It’s on VHS so we can’t take that one. She watches it as an occasional treat and even so quickly memorized the songs, so anything we take on the trip needs to have non-annoying music (I don’t want her to get the Barney song stuck in her head, for example!!!!)

Obviously I am familiar with the usual kid movies from Disney, but I never remember if there are crazy scary parts in them, and I do remember one time babysitting kids who watched 101 Dalmatians and had nightmares over it. I’m not sure if Hannah is that susceptible to being scared, but you know, she’s only two.

If you have toddlers, what are their favorite movies?
