In Lieu of Reading, Part 1

Hannah has a bunch of tiny baby type hairbows, but I thought she needed a bigger one.

I…love…big…hairbows! On little girls anyway.

For this one I used a light blue gauzy wired ribbon. The wire helps pouf out the loops so the bow keeps it’s shape. The gauzy part is so it would be lightweight. Hannah has very fine hair and heavy things slide out. I hot glue gunned the bow to a little flat clip. I used to have a bag full of those little clips, but it is lost (notice how I used passive voice there, to absolve me of any responsibility?) so I pulled a tiny bow off of one and repurposed the clip.

Hannah adores the new bow. She got all excited about her “big girl bow!” It matches the blue of her Easter dress, so hopefully the bow won’t get lost at church on Sunday.

Speaking of dresses, have you seen this amazing tutorial for how to make a little girl’s dress out of a man’s shirt? I am DYING to try this, but Josh is not home to tell me which of his shirts (if any) he is prepared to sacrifice. I will keep you posted.
