Little Buddy Burrito

Jack turned three months old on Thursday. It’s hard to believe he’s already been with us a quarter of a year, but in some ways it seems like he’s been here for much longer.

The GREAT news is, Jack has been sleeping through the night for a week now! He’s been going about 9 or 10 hours, but one night he slept for 12! Yay Jack! It sort of came out of the blue, because prior to that he had still been waking up every 4 hours or so. It was a sudden transformation, but let’s not look a gift horse in the mouth.

Jack’s doing great with naps too, but he takes his afternoon nap on the chaise in our bedroom rather than in his crib (as seen in the photo). The kids do fine sleeping in the same room at night, but during afternoon nap time they keep each other up if they are in there together. So the short term solution has been the chaise for Jack. But I think we can’t do that anymore because…

…Jack rolled over today for the first time! Yay Jack! He rolled from his tummy to his back all by himself. He’s almost done it before, or made it halfway, but today he made the whole roll. I know it’s not very amazing, but it’s a milestone nonetheless.

Jack really likes to reach for hanging toys and bat them around. Hannah was never really into that as much, but the play mat is getting good use now!

I keep thinking we’ll need to move to bigger clothes soon, but since it’s the end of summer I’m trying to avoid it. I do have him in some of the Gymboree 6-12 month size clothes, and 6-9 month sleepers, but the 3-6 month shirts that aren’t onesies still work, as do shorts.

Jack is cute and sweet and always smiling and laughing. We love you Little Buddy!
