I love to organize. This week we converted our guest bedroom to an office for Josh, which necessitated me completely reorganizing just about every other space in the house since we have very little storage. I always find more things to get rid of, because I can’t stand to live in an overstuffed house or with things I don’t love or need. Sometimes it’s hard to let go though. For example, I just got rid of a shirt I purchased in 1996. It didn’t fit then, and it doesn’t fit now. But it’s a really pretty shirt. Still, it’s off to Goodwill in one of several garbage bags of cast-offs! Ah, the freedom.
Anyway, I really like the new configuration in our loft area. I wish I had before and after shots.
One thing I just found while sorting stuff is a ticket stub (sorry the picture is blurry). I was about to throw it away when I realized it was for the first concert I ever attended. On November 13, 1988, I went to see Amy Grant in concert at the Oakland Coliseum. The ticket apparently cost $18.50. I went with my mom and my piano teacher and maybe a few other people, I’m not sure. We got a flat tire on the way. But the concert was so rad. It was the “Lead Me On” tour.
So I’m keeping the ticket stub.
