It’s Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas

Since we’re spending Thanksgiving with my family, I finished the shopping and tonight I wrapped presents for a long time. Hannah tried to help, but the sparkly ribbon and shiny paper was too much for her to resist, so she played with her Daddy for a while!

I love wrapping presents. I collect papers and ribbons and really enjoy making big bows and beautiful packages. I can’t stand it to have only one paper under the tree, so I usually try to make sure that no two packages are wrapped in the same paper. And yes, I do save paper from year to year! The best thing is to use real ribbons (preferably wired) and for a really great bow I use the entire spool! Some years I get creative and also put pinecones or berries or bells or other little things on the packages along with the bows, which makes for a nice effect.

The big question this year though, of course, is how to keep Hannah from starting the festivities too early. How do you keep an active toddler away from a tree? Points to ponder.
