Waste Not, Possibly Get E.Coli

It was with a heavy heart that I threw out all of our spinach today. You know, the whole E. coli outbreak thing – I asked Josh if he thought I ought to pitch the spinach and he said that would be prudent, so I did it. Even the 24 cubes of pureed spinach I had made and frozen for Hannah.

I hope this gets resolved soon, because I really love spinach, and I love putting it in everything from eggs to casseroles to salads. Hannah loves it too, and will even eat it when it’s still semi-frozen if I forgot to thaw her baby food cubes early enough. She’d eat spinach all day if I would let her. But now she’s stuck with green beans and kale and peas and broccoli for her sources of green. No bulging forearms for this family, at least for a while. Sorry Popeye.
