Wait One Cotton-Pickin’ Minute!

Now I’m getting stressed. I’ve been very patient with Hannah not saying “Mama.” I’m ok with the fact that she says “Dada” to Josh all day long, and that she says some other words sporadically like “yeah,” “no,” “wow,” “hi,” “dog,” and so forth.

This afternoon though, I had to draw the line. Josh had just called the Longs to talk about guitar lessons, and he sat Hannah on his knee as he told me that he had left a message with Luke. Hannah calmly looked up at him and said,

OK, that’s it. It’s one thing to say “Dada” first, but it’s quite another for Hannah to start naming off the Long kids before deigning to say “Mama.” Sheesh!

Efforts to wrangle a “Mama” from the babe-cious will now be redoubled!
