I tried another new recipe last night, African Chicken in Spicy Red Sauce. Let me save you some time (and gustatory agony) – don’t make this recipe. Usually I’ve had great results from Cooking Light, but I don’t know how this one got past the test kitchens. We like spicy food, and we like Ethiopian food, but we don’t like this chicken. Well, I don’t anyway. Josh, who always tries to think of something nice to say about supper (which I appreciate) said “At least it’s not too salty.” And he’s right, it’s not too salty. So it’s got that going for it, which is nice. It’s just too spicy and the flavor is funky. Not making it again, but still having to deal with the leftovers. Sigh.
