You may recall that a while ago I got hosed from the Fishers library for moving to a new county. We solved that problem by using Josh’s old Marion County library card. I grew to love the Marion County library, with it’s convenient branch locations, fabulous online ordering system, and extensive catalog.
Sadly, the IMCPL is on to us. They informed Josh that his card is expired, but to renew it he just needs to show a current bill to a Marion County address in his name. Well….
Sadder still, the Hancock County library only has two branches, the closest of which is 30 minutes from our house, according to MapQuest. And it’s not a big library system like IMCPL, so the selection is smaller. I’m not sure what I’m going to do without ready access to books!
I’m not angry at the IMCPL for shutting down our racket, as they have the right to reserve service for county taxpayers, but it’s disappointing nonetheless.
