Bannocks! You may think it’s an epithet, but no! Bannocks are oatcake/biscuit/scone-like things of Scottish origin. Since Josh likes Scottish things, I decided to make bannocks to go with our Sunday dinner. You can find a good recipe here. I didn’t have an onion or parmesan, so I used green onions (not sauteed) and cheddar cheese and they came out great.
To answer your tacit question: no, our bannocks did not accompany haggis. If only.
