Table For Two

There just aren’t enough formal and semi-formal occasions in my life these days. Knowing how much I enjoy dressing up, every now and then we have a formal night at the Gillespie house. It’s like a date. Last night we dressed up and had our dinner in courses after Hannah went to bed. I just used the regular everyday china and silver, but it was fun to set the table with lots of utensils and dishes! I love getting a chance to have a long leisurely dinner enjoying Josh’s company. The menu is below:

First Course: Chilled Strawberry Yogurt Soup (yum, like a smoothie)
Second Course: Grilled Flank Steak With Carmelized Onions and Balsamic Glaze, broccoli, bread
Third Course: Fruit Salad
Fourth Course: Little Chocolate Cakes with Caramel Sauce, Coffee

Dinner took a little over two hours, cleanup took another 45 minutes, but it was worth it.
