Project Review: Making a Shopping Cart Cover

“Do you HAVE to take my picture outside the grocery store in the rain???”

The other day I made Hannah a shopping cart cover to preserve her tiny self from the gnarsty germs that live and breed and sing tra-la-la on shopping carts. It worked. Unless germs can swim through fabric to the small baby mouth trying to suck on the cart, but we won’t think about that. I’m pretty pleased with the project. The cover fits lots of different sized carts, has a padded seat, and is much cuter than the dreadful ones you can buy at Babies R Us. Thanks to a great idea from Amy, I plan to sew on links and toys to keep Hannah occupied so that she doesn’t get upset when I tell her she cannot mess with the strawberries or crawl around on the filthy floor. 🙂 I’ve been sewing up a storm lately, and will post tomorrow when I finish my second project!
