Last night Josh and I left Hannah with a non-family-member babysitter (Alyssa) for the first time and went to Symphony on the Prairie with the college group from church. For those not from Indy, every summer our symphony sets up a big soundstage out in a field (yes Josh, it’s a prairie!) and plays concerts. People bring picnics and sit out under the stars enjoying great music.
Since it was opening night, during the encore there were fireworks! I love a good pyrotechnic show. I’ve decided that when I die, whomever it may concern should pack me in a shoebox to bury me, and take all the money they saved from not embalming me and buying me a fancy coffin and spend it on a great pyrotechnic display in my honor.
So there you have my funeral requests. No shiny mahogany satin-lined coffin and unrealistic hair and makeup jobs. I would just like y’all to sing Psalm 84B and have fireworks. 🙂
