No Babe in Our Manger

I tried to give Josh his firstborn for Christmas, but no dice. Baby Hannah remains firmly entrenched in the womb, despite our repeated exhortations to her to come out already. Today, December 26, is one of her due dates (the others were December 23 or December 30), and although technically we can’t say that all of the due dates will have passed until next Saturday, it certainly feels like things have gone on long enough, thank you very much! For the record, first babies are NOT statistically more likely than other babies to come late, according to my doctor, despite what you may have heard to the contrary, but that is little comfort to the waiting mamma, not that the waiting mamma really expected much in the way of comfort during the last week of pregnancy! Still, I am grateful for little blessings, such as the fact that I have not gotten a fat face, my feet have not gotten bigger, I have no discernible growth added to my nose, and I can still polish my toenails. As I mentioned in the post below about eBay, I have been praying for patience, and hopefully the baby WILL eventually arrive sometime before spring at least….
